In 1982 GEL started as a Private Limited Firm doing business in Water Purification and reservoirs. Along the way we ventured in Sewage Treatment in 1992 and Water Supply Schemes in 1998. Initially we were engaged in Maharashtra with MWSSB, CIDCO and MIDC and in Madhya Pradesh with WCL. Later on after 2000 due to change in policies of government we engaged our self with Municipal Councils and Corporations. During the decade from 2000 to 2010 we worked in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh also.

With the retirement and age bar of two senior people Mr. S. D. Shangarpawar and Mr. R. R. Pathak and restriction of limited resources forced GEPL to join KBL in September, 2007. Mr. R. M. Patrikar since then is managing affairs of GEL to achieve rapid growth. During period from 2007 to 2010 with the influx of Bank limits and help from KBL, GEL could double the turnover with increase in Profit Margins.
