Designing & Constructing 167 MLD – Head-work at Bhama Askhed Dam

Scope

Design and construction of the head-works at the Bhama Askhed Dam for the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Project value Rs. 176.42 crores with a 10-year operation & maintenance period.

Process

• Construction of a coffer dam to enable downstream civil works
• Construction of a jackwell at the raw-water intake
• Head-works civil works including instrumentation, SCADA, and allied works
• Mechanical and electrical scope including pump houses and switchgear
• 500 m approach road for plant access

Outcome

A raw-water headworks installation feeding the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s water supply scheme, with a long-tenure O&M arrangement covering operations after commissioning.
